👁 Overview
DueHawk is a local-first tracker for things that expire: insurance policies, passports, licences, vehicle registrations, warranties and memberships. It does not require an account with NaRiSystems, and NaRiSystems runs no servers that receive your records.
This policy covers the only cases where anything leaves your device: the optional Google Drive backup (Premium), anonymous crash reports, and purchases handled by Google Play. DueHawk contains no advertising and no usage analytics.

📱 Local Storage & Permissions
Your items, reminders, settings and attachments are stored in DueHawk's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. Android's own automatic cloud backup is switched off for DueHawk, so this data is not copied anywhere unless you turn on DueHawk's Google Drive backup.
DueHawk asks for these permissions, each used only for the purpose shown:
- Camera — to photograph a document you want to attach. Photos are saved inside the app, not to your gallery.
- Notifications and alarms & reminders — to remind you before something expires, at 9am on the days you chose.
- Run at startup — to restore your scheduled reminders after the phone restarts.
- Biometrics — to unlock the app with your fingerprint or face if you enable app lock. The check happens inside Android; DueHawk only learns whether it succeeded.
- Internet — only for Google Drive backup, Google Play purchases, and crash reports.
When you pick a photo or PDF from your files, DueHawk copies only that file into its private storage. It does not scan or read anything else on your device. When you open an attached PDF, Android hands that one file to the PDF viewer app you choose.
☁️ Optional Google Drive Backup
Premium users can back up to their own Google Drive. Nothing is backed up automatically: a backup only happens when you tap Backup to Google Drive in Settings, after signing in with Google.

DueHawk requests only the
drive.appdatapermission. This gives it access to a hidden folder reserved for DueHawk in your Drive, and not to any of your other Drive files. - A backup contains your items, categories, settings and attached files.
- To show which Google account a backup goes to, DueHawk displays that account's email address on your phone. It is never sent to NaRiSystems.
- DueHawk keeps your 5 most recent backups and automatically deletes older ones.
- Backups are protected by your Google account's security. DueHawk does not add its own encryption to them, so keep your Google account secure.
- NaRiSystems cannot see, access or recover your backups.
💳 Purchases
DueHawk Premium is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play. NaRiSystems never receives your card or payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether your account owns Premium, so it can unlock features and restore your purchase after a reinstall. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
📈 Crash Reporting, Analytics & Advertising
DueHawk uses Sentry to receive a report when the app crashes or hits an error, so we can fix it. A report contains technical details only: the error and where in the code it happened, the app version, and device details such as the model, Android version, language, time zone, memory and connection type.
- DueHawk never adds your item names, notes, dates or attachments to a report.
- No screenshots, screen recordings, or record of what you tap.
- No name, email, account or other personal identifiers are attached.
- Each report carries a random installation ID, created by the app and not linked to you, so that repeated crashes from one install can be grouped.
- Sentry keeps each report for up to 90 days, then deletes it automatically.
- Sentry processes reports on our behalf and does not use them for anything else.
DueHawk contains no advertising and no usage analytics. We don't track how you use the app.
DueHawk may show a small card recommending another NaRiSystems app. It is a plain link to Google Play; nothing about you is sent when it's shown or tapped.
🧒 Children's Privacy
DueHawk is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact narisystems@gmail.com and we will delete it.
⚖️ Your Rights & Choices
- Delete everything on your device: uninstall DueHawk, or clear its storage in Android Settings → Apps → DueHawk.
- Delete your backups: see the steps in §4.
- Stop backups: DueHawk never backs up on its own, so simply stop tapping Backup. To remove its access entirely, disconnect it from your Google account (see §4).
- Crash reports: these contain no personal data, so there is nothing to identify you by. They are deleted automatically after at most 90 days. If you have a question about them, email us.
Because NaRiSystems holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side. Your data is under your control on your device and in your Google account.
🔄 Changes to This Policy
If DueHawk starts handling data differently, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date before the change ships. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
